Describe how a specific skill you acquired in high school was valuable in your externship. How did you learn that skill? How were you able to use it? Or perhaps was there is a skill you needed but didn't have. How did you deal with that?
Well one skill that we are supposed to have, especially in High Tech High, is being able to manage your freedom with your work. There were times where yes, we weren’t fully using this skill and we got called out for it, but there were a lot of other times where we did and we felt like we didn’t get recognized enough for it.
How has your externship been similar to AND different from projects you've done in high school?
It’s pretty similar to school because, well, we are at school. It does however feel completely different from a normal project in art class. As I said in another blog post, we are given more freedom and time to manage ourselves than in regular school.
A-ha! moment
